My actors aged between 20-27 all male - the age and gender I am aiming my film at have all made suggesting throughout my filming as to what they would like to see in a film, they often contribute good ideas to improve the trailer so I decided to have a meeting to discuss in detail what they as the target audience would want to get from the film and anything they have seen before they have found particually found stuck out for them in a film they have really liked and also anything original they haven't seen done before they would like to see.
A main thing we all agreed they would like to see in the cinema was a 'parody' like film but not quite as obvious as films such as 'Scary Movie' for example, or 'Disaster Movie', they would prefer the 'mocking' of other films to look unintentional and subtle to achieve the most comedy. Also they said they would like it to be based around afour boys on a camping trip. This I thought would be a good idea as it allows the conventions of a horror parady so introduced the idea into my schedule. As I went through the synopsis of my film it occured that perhaps the camping trip should be the film instead of my previous idea to have the main character getting a good job and girlfriend but at the jeopardy/risk of losing his friends. At the current time I am sticking to my initial plan as we haven't begun filming the camping scenes, which I feel would cause a lot of filming problems including location, lack of light, and equipment.
