On day 3 I decided to was vital to get some footage of some value - therefore put aside what I initially planned to film, (a scene we hadn't gone through yet - which therefore would have meant a lot of time planing the shot). We therefore -my cast and me decided to redo a scene we had gone through on day 1. The shot was in the back garden of a relatives house - the reasons I chose this location was because it has the characteristics of a pub. I sat my four actors (the main character and his three main friends) on the table, two on either side, this shot was inspired by Peter Jackson's 'Lord of the Rings the Return of the King' 2003, where four hobbits sit at the pub table, this location I am going to make thier 'usual' meeting place where they share laughter and their problems - making it a recurring place in my film and trailer, I hope this will familiarize the audience with the location and help them understand the 'closeness' of the four friends and how they carry the film.
My schedule for day 3
- Get shot of them 'toasting' with thier pint glasses from side left angle.
- Get shot of them 'toasting' from a satalite view (inspred by shot in the trailer for 'The Inbetweeners Movie'.
- Get shot of them just talking and laughing (the actual talking wont be included in the trailer - I just wanted a shot of them bonding to put as a perhaps 2 second clip in the trailer).
- I also planned for a shot of the four actors in the car but it was very tricky to get the camera at the right angle which allowed all the actors to be in the shot - we plan to go back to filming that shot another day, as the there was no light outside and the shot proved too dark to use in my trailer.
